Colin Cowherd: Joe Burrow is Bad News For Baker Mayfield and the Browns

Colin Cowherd: “The loser of last night's National Title was Baker Mayfield... This year the AFC North was wide open. Lamar was still a baby, Big Ben got hurt, and the Bengals were playing Ryan Finley --- But Baker was doing 26 commercials, and was simply not mature enough to take it over. Now Joe Burrow enters the division and Baker is suddenly the fourth best quarterback in that division. In the NFL you get very quick breaks... Todd Gurley is hurt and the Seahawks pounce. Andrew Luck retires and Tennessee pounces on it. You get these little breaks every year; the Steelers star quarterback is hurt, and good Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton gets hurt. Baker wasn’t ready to seize it and had to win every argument, throw the medical staff under the bus, and do 38 commercials instead… Burrow is not good news for Baker. He’s bigger, he’s more athletic, he looks to have the arm, and there is no police video.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns are in an extremely precarious in the AFC North division just a year after they might have just blew their best opportunity to seize control of a division they haven’t won since 1989.

Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson was beginning just his second season as a raw talent, Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger missed 14 games, and Cincinnati’s AJ Green missed the entire season.

At one time masquerading as a dark horse Super Bowl contender, suddenly the Browns looking up at a Baltimore dynasty, returning Ben Roethlisberger coming off Mike Tomlin’s best year as a head coach, and a Bengals team who is expected to Draft celebrated college quarterback Joe Burrow from LSU after his immaculate performance in the College Football Playoff.

Check out the video above as Colin details why Burrow’s entrance into the division may be another nail in Mayfield’s coffin with the Browns, as Colin believes Mayfield will firmly become the worst quarterback in the division when Burrow arrives in Cincy.
