Colin Cowherd: Why is Mainstream Media Scared to Criticize Lamar Jackson?

Colin Cowherd: “Stop pandering and stop coddling these millionaire athletes. Lamar Jackson didn’t play well and he deserves to get ripped. We ripped Peyton Manning for being an MVP and then not looking the same in the playoffs. Stop patronizing Lamar Jackson, he doesn’t need your sympathy and he doesn’t need your pandering; he’s a rock star, he’s going to win MVP, and he’s going to be worth $100 million. He’s a baby and he will get better, but the criticism is fair. He got drafted in the first round and the media was like ‘THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!’ ‘FIRE THE GM’S!’... Why? He got drafted in the first round! Roger Staubach got drafted in the 10th round, Johnny Unitas 9th, Tom Brady 6th – it’s a hard position to evaluate. Then people are now saying he didn’t lose the game because he had ‘350 yards!’ He didn’t play well, folks, and most of his yards were Dak yards, GARBAGE YARDS. Stop protecting this kid, he doesn’t need our sympathy.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he doesn’t understand why so many members of the mainstream media spent the entire weekend sticking up for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson when it was painfully obvious that Jackson had his worst game of the season in Baltimore's humiliating blowout home loss to the Titans in the Divisional Round.

Jackson has been one of the most polarizing players in the NFL since he came into the league, sparking a fierce debate on the long-term success of running quarterbacks, and also a deadlock in contention when it came to Jackson’s ability to throw the ball from the pocket.

However, Colin doesn’t understand why Jackson’s performance versus the Titans is even being debated, when he should be getting unanimously denounced for his dud in the biggest game of his career, just a year after his dud in the playoffs versus the Chargers last year as well.

Check out the video above as Colin details why Jackson’s most vocal apologists need to get lost this week.
