Washed Up Aaron Rodgers is Killing the Jets

New York Jets v Minnesota Vikings

Colin Cowherd: “That was on Aaron Rodgers. 3.6 yards per play, 36 yards rushing... When Aaron throws a couple of picks, his body language tanks, he gets very cool and breezy with his mechanics, he’s barking at the offensive coordinator treating him like a personal assistant, Aaron goes into a darkness retreat during the game, and then everyone is walking on egg shells. It’s the opposite with Kirk Cousins and Dak. They never know what the score is, they never change. Aaron pivots on a dime when things don’t go well, and it was the problem in Green Bay.
You can call it pouting, you can call it ‘darkness retreat’.... Nobody goes darker and faster than Aaron. Bro – YOU wanted Hackett, YOU wanted Allen Lazard. How can you be 32nd in the NFL in rushing with two capable running backs, and one a semi-star? This is troubling; when they target Garrett Wilson, Aaron only completes 59% of his throws and has a passer rating of 70. I don’t wanna hear this ‘BLAME ROBERT SALEH!’ nonsense. His defense was great. If his owner and GM would sign Haasan Reddick, I don’t know how you would move the ball on them. They shut Minnesota down, the best offense in the NFL.
Don’t blame Saleh, he didn’t whiff on a quarterback in the draft, and he didn’t whiff on a left tackle, forcing the franchise to give Aaron all control. And we know what Aaron does when you do that -- he seeks ‘comfort’. He wants a Randall Cobb, an Allen Lazard, a Nat Hackett... That’s all on Aaron. Saleh wouldn’t have hired Hackett, they were forced to. He’s not impulsive, the owner is. Through three games the Jets have 93 points, the exact same they had last year with Zach Wilson.
Aaron isn’t shot but he’s way past his prime, but this franchise is desperate, has low self-esteem, is impulsive, and has handed the franchise to a guy who seeks comfort and pivots to 'darkness' if things don’t go his way."

Listen to Colin Cowherd of FS1’s The Herd call out ‘way past his prime’ Aaron Rodgers for stunting the growth of the New York Jets franchise, as Colin says it’s ‘nonsense’ to want to blame head coach Robert Saleh for the Jets’ struggles on offense.

Check out the segment above as Colin details why Rodgers is one of the NFL’s biggest front-runners, as a player who effectively pouts and tanks on his own team after he makes critical mistakes.
