No matter where you stand politically, it is undeniable that NFL protests are bad for business. Millions of fans nationwide feel alienated for a multitude of reasons, but none bigger than the national anthem protests seen on a weekly basis. The owners have started to panic due to the 24-hour negative attention aimed at their organziation, and the effect its had on their bottom line.

With President Trump's constant criticism of the NFL and the reinstatement of Ezekiel Elliott's domestic violence charge, the brutal headlines and overall PR nightmare shows no sign of stopping. It is in the best interest of the league for the owners and players to come together as soon as possible.
