Black Sabbath Marks 50th Anniversary Of 'Paranoid' With Huge Vinyl Reissue

Black Sabbath is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its genre-defining sophomore album, Paranoid, with a super-deluxe vinyl reissue that includes the original LP and a number of historic heavy metal collectibles.

The 5-LP Paranoid: Super Deluxe Edition includes the original album and a rare 1974 Quadrophonic mix which has been folded down to stereo. The set also includes Black Sabbath concerts from 1970 in Montreux and in Brussels that have been pressed on vinyl for the first time.

There's also a hardbound book with extensive liner notes, including interviews with the four band members, rare photos and memorabilia, including a poster and a replica of the Paranoid tour book.

You can pre-order the collection at here for $109.98. The set's official release date is October 9, 2020.

Paranoid arrived about nine months after Black Sabbath's groundbreaking debut album.

Featuring heavy metal classics like "War Pigs," "Iron Man" and the title track, Paranoid became the band's first album to hit No. 1 in the U.K. and it went on to sell more than 4 million copies in the U.S.
