Is Woodstock 50 Turning Into the Next Fyre Festival?

When Woodstock 50 was announced we were all pretty excited to see what it would be bringing to the table. The three day event planned for August 16, 17, and 18, 2019 in Watkins Glen, NY was supposed to rival the Woodstock festivals of the past.

Priced at $450, tickets were supposed to go on sale Monday, but have been delayed without any word as to why, until today.

The festival released a statement, and according to the AP the delay is because they are working on the logistics of the festival.

The logistics? Shouldn't those have been worked out before you announced a three day line up? Shouldn't those have been worked out before you announced the festival itself?

Woodstock 50 is supposed to be huge. Big names like Imagine Dragons, Jay-Z, Dead & Company, The Killers, and Halsey are supposed to be headlining. The Black Keys were also supposed to be on the bill, but had to cancel due to a scheduling conflict. Perhaps the Black Keys just saw the writing on the wall.

Right now I am hoping that this festival happens, but it's starting to look and sound like the Fyre Festival. A great idea, but without any actual planning behind it and not working out the logistics, it is going to fail hard.
