Houston Astros outfielder Carlos Beltran is calling it a career.  The 40-year-old slugger has announced his retirement on The Players' Tribune website.  Beltran said he's blessed to have played this game for 20 seasons and for so many great organizations.

The nine-time All-Star punctuated his career with a World Series championship this season.  Beltran was a career .279 hitter with 435 home runs.  He played for the Royals, Astros, Mets, Giants, Cardinals, Yankees and Rangers.
