After 9 years off the top, Syracuse returned to the peak of the college basketball attendance heap this past season, averaging over 26,000 fans per game at the Carrier Dome. That’s over 3,000 more per contest than second place Kentucky and about 5 grand more than third place Louisville. Those two in-state rivals were the only other schools to top the 20,000 mark. SU’s average of 26,253 attendees per game was the highest figure in over 20 years, boosted by 4 30,000 plus efforts against ACC foes.

Just imagine how big the numbers would have been if this event had happened here in Central New York.
