It’s all about the depth players now for the Bills in the 3rd Quarter.

One player that really stood out was journeyman DE Landon Cohen. He was constantly causing havoc in the Panther’s backfield.

Thad Lewis continued to play, and looking OK. He finished 6 of 11 for 63 yards. Rookie RT Cyrus Kouandjio continued to struggle a bit. RB Bryce Brown is showing he has good burst, having carries for yards. The offensive line didn’t help him or Lewis a lot, but weren’t horrendous either.

Jeff Tuel stepped in with around 6 minutes left in the quarter. He promptly threw an interception on his second pass attempt, overthrowing Marcus Easley in the Panthers’ end zone. Tuel has shown all camp that he is not afraid to put it up and let his receivers make plays. However, his accuracy is inconsistent, leading to plays like this.

DB Mario Butler got picked on quite a but, struggling to stop receivers and being burned on a big gain that was taken back by a holding call… fortunately for him and the Bills.

Overall, it was an uneventful quarter with all the reserves in. Bills lead 13-6.
